“Take New Territory”

To take New Territory we will have to be prepared to leave behind the old & the familiar & whatever comfortable methods of ministry are no longer producing fruit. ‘Think outside the ‘box’ but never outside the Book’ – (Irish Saying). Do not attempt to rewrite the Book on ministry; pray to change & become obedient. Become the change you want to see… Get in step with Holy Spirit, stay in step & move at His territory taking pace. We desire to do the Father’s business His way (Luke 2:49), call in the harvest from all over the nation & nations of the world. Let’s get our ‘house’ in order with prayerful preparation.

Wed 20^th March – 2^nd April 

·         20^th March  -  Come praise Him, the King of Kings Psalm 5:7 - But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.

Psa 24:7 - Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. (NKJV) Praise the Lord for who He is, His ability, His holiness, His power, His compassion, His provision… Psa 96:8 - Give to the LORD the glory due His name…

·         21^st March - Confession - Psa 32:6 - For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You In a time when You may be found… Psa 34:11 - Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.    

Clean out my heart of all the weeds that have grown – neglect, pride, apathy, disobedience, unbelief, discontent, grumbling… negativity …

Psa 79:8 - Oh, do not remember former iniquities against us! Let Your tender mercies come speedily to meet us, For we have been brought very low.

Psa 51:12 - Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

New hearts for new territory - Rom 11:27 - And this is my commitment to my people: removal of their sins. (MSG)

·         22^nd March - Consumed - The King & His Kingdom first! Devoted beyond question – No doubt about my direction, loyalty or calling.

      Jer 20:9 –“…  His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones.  I am weary of holding it in...”

2Ti 1:6 – “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…” (NIV)

Mat 6:33 - But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

·         23^rd March – Connection – connection on the divine level that places the King in charge – take the territory in my heart Lord & plant it with fresh seed of Your word. Mat 6:10 - Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Psa 95:6 - Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.  Psa 95:1 - Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.

Rom 11:20 –“…But they were pruned because they were deadwood, no longer connected by belief and commitment to the root. The only reason you're on the tree is because your graft "took" when you believed, and because you're connected to that belief-nurturing root. So don't get cocky and strut your branch. Be humbly mindful of the root that keeps you lithe and green.” (MSG)

Jesus is our only source!

·         24^th March – Commitment – Commitment is shown by obedience. We need to develop a culture of obedience rather than culture of questioning. Mat 5:10 - "You're blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God's kingdom. (MSG)

Joh 6:29 - Jesus said, "Throw your lot in with the One that God has sent. That kind of a commitment gets you in on God's works." (MSG)

Phi 3:15 - So let's keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision--you'll see it yet! (MSG)

·         25^th March – Conquer – The opposition of humanistic ideas is conquered & our emotions will are in line with God’s – my agenda is His agenda! His Kingdom is the unshakeable Kingdom – opposition fades…

Psa 18:45 - The foreigners fade away, And come frightened from their hideouts. Heb 1:8 - But to the Son He says: "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER; A SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTER OF YOUR KINGDOM.

·         Pray for preparation of Rally site & setup. Pray for safe travel for people coming

·         26^th March – Choose King Jesus’ direction, march to the beat of the drum He plays, confusion is left behind, no more religious activity that it fruitless. Take New Territory..  - Luke9:23 Then he said to the crowd, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross daily, and follow me. (NLT)

Deut 1:6 -The LORD our God said to us at Horeb, "You have stayed long enough at this mountain.

7- Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighbouring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates.

8 - See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land…”

Prayer for leadership Conference 27-28 March

·         27^th March – Call to Take New Territory. Leaders to catch Gods heart for His harvest. Empowering of those who report for duty… renewed vision & passion & new skill to lead

Psa 32:8 - I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.

Psa 32:9 - Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle   or they will not come to you.

      Act 1:8- But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (NIV)

Pray for - Understanding the times, boldness, keeping rank under pressure… surrendered expertise … Gifted people to come surrender their gifting, talents in service of King Jesus.

1Chronicals 12:32 - of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;

33 - of Zebulun there were fifty thousand who went out to battle, expert in war with all weapons of war, stout-hearted men who could keep ranks (NKJV)

·         28^th March – Correct motivation - Leaders to fall in love with the Lord Jesus over & over again. Loving God is our motivation for ministry. Performance will fade but love never fails… people ‘finding their place’ for fruitful ministry.

Mat 9:36-  But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

Mat 9:37 - Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourer’s are few.

Mat 9:38 - Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest."

Rally begins 14h00 (CAT). Leadership Conference wraps up @ 12h00

·         29^th March – Consecrate yourselves –Lord please change lives like YOU alone can… may the anointing & blessing of the heart preparation flow over from Leaders conference into Rally.

Jos 3:4 - Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before…

Jos 3:5 Joshua told the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you."

Psalm 72:6  He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, Like showers that water the earth.

·         30^th March – Psalm 66:5 - Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.

Expectation of old ways, dead works, outdated religious ideas & hard hearts to be  soaked by the rain of Holy Spirit.

·         31^st March – Confront mediocrity in believers lives

When was the last time you did something for the First time? Stop window shopping… do what God says. Move from lip service to action

·         Deu 6:23  - But he brought us out from there to bring us in and give us the land that he promised on oath to our forefathers.

·         1^st April – Consistency  -  Pray that the imperishable seed of the word of God brings a God glorifying harvest when we break camp & move to take territory –

Num 13:30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."

Num 14:24 But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.

Make decisions that will impact you & your descendants, friends etc. positively for eternity. Nation changers who boldly become world changers because we have a mandate from the King of Kings – Jesus Christ. Mat 28:18-20

·         2^nd April - Continue -  Go Live what you’ve learned…let the light of the Lord Jesus shine from you – go & be the world changers we’ve been called to be - Psa 126:6 - He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him. (NKJV)

2 Co 8:12 - Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can't. The heart regulates the hands. (MSG)

Thank you for persevering in prayer with us. Effective public ministry is the result of battles won in prayer privately & corporately.

Truth vs Reason

Truth is not seasonable it's eternal.
The truth is heavy that's why not many carry it - (Unknown)
Truth is the standard God sets - He is The Truth - John 14:6
Truth goes deep, right to the heart, the superficial stuff won't stand the test of life.
Truth is God's way of keeping us from deception & self destruction
Truth brings security - "Trust in the Lord ( rely on, lean on and be confident) in the Lord (Truth) and do good ... Ps 37:3 (Amp)
The voice of reason & experience can confuse the listener whose ear is not tuned into Holy Spirit and whose heart is not sold out & surrendered to Jesus. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, He will reveal Jesus.
When reason & experience contradict the word of God, choose truth, choose Jesus.
Reasons will take you down the dead end road of self justification.
Truth will shape us God's way.

The best way to promote unity is to promote truth  -- unknown
Unity that will stand the test of time needs a foundation of truth
Rebels can unite in their cause but if its not based on truth they will eventually destroy one another

Truth is the only thing that seperates  light from dark. Matt 6: 23 - "..if the light within you is darkness, how great is the darkness!" (Jesus)
Truth is the unifying liberating thing that sets us free when we learn to love it!

PitStop 3 - EMC 2011 Norway

Somebody said – The man that moved the mountain began by moving the stones...

A person walked into our leadership meeting recently and when he realised that he was in a leaders meeting he apologised and wanted to leave. My answer to him was, stay, then you can hear how we intend taking over the world; its top secret stuff!

Our goal is to change this world one heart at a time in obedience to our Lord and Master Jesus Christ.

Mat 28:18  Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given complete authority in heaven        and  on earth.

Mat 28:19  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (NLT)

As part of obedience to this command we accepted the invitation to go to Norway to minister at the EMC Rally Hosted by Holy Riders. Some of our Music team accompanied us making the ministry times at the EMC Rally very special.

The rain at our CMA National Rally in April had prepared us for a wet event. Outdoor events are quite challenging when it’s raining... We started with a Leadership Training School attended by about 60 people and then progressed to the Rally where numbers grew to about 600. Riders came in from all over Scandinavia and Europe. The Holy Spirit anointing from the Leadership training flowed over into the rally.

Deléne and I had sent 3 days at Rune and Sigrun’s home to ‘acclimatise’ before the rally and prepare our hearts after a very busy schedule in RSA before our flight. We came from a leaders meeting in RSA straight to the airport to fly. The time was spent building relationship and meeting with local chapter for prayer for rally.

Norway is a beautiful country and riding motorcycles and those twisty back roads are a always blast. Alfred & Anne Skaia blessed me with the use of their GSXR 1000, what a bike... thank you. The big superbike gobbled up the twisty roads with a vengeance.

First night at EMC we sensed God was visiting as many people responded to the alter call to make Jesus Lord of their lives. As we stood in the rain praying with 20 or more people we saw tears of repentance become tears of joy. Many people seek Jesus only for a miracle, but when they come for relationship with Him the miracles come daily. Things can never satisfy or fill the place of the person of Jesus Christ. Multitudes want Him as Saviour, but they want to remain in charge of their lives. Lordship is not optional. The call to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus was our theme for the LTS as well as the Rally.

I’m seeing a new desire for reality that only comes from making Jesus Lord. Lord makes Him the final authority, the decision maker... Surrendered people are not ruled by circumstances or their 5 senses or desires, but by their Lord and Master Jesus Christ. Convenient Christianity is not Christianity at all; it’s a lifeless religion of rules that bring bondage and confusion. Jesus Christ brings life!

Music by the Bikers Church Midrand Team from RSA was a key to setting the stage for God to touch hearts. Every meeting was a God encounter for those who said ‘yes Lord”. Surrendered people are concerned about what God says, so they excel in doing His will. Surrendered people become holy people... A new Worship CD has been released and is available from Holy Riders in Norway or CMA RSA. Make sure you get a copy!

The rally was very well organised by Holy Riders Norway with a good programme and excellent food. Have you ever had salmon on the menu at a bike rally? Well done! Those that attended had a life changing encounter with God. I’m always in wonder at what God does in me while he does stuff through me.

The area of Kwam where the event was held is very picturesque and riding motorcycles in the area is loads of fun.

After the rally Rune Enstad (President Holy Riders) & I had a post rally tour to unwind. I put the key in the GSXR’s ignition and happily followed his Ducati corner for corner... The tour included an unscheduled hike up Pulpit Rock (2hrs up and then more than 1 hr down). We met up with tour leader Jon Gunnar (HR Bergen) and Horst & Carola and team (H R Germany) and Jay and Sue (CMA UK) with a BMW sidecar. The sidecar rig is setup for riding on the left-hand side of the road, so this was fun and games – good riding Jay and Sue’s prayer life I’m sure has greatly improved. The evenings were spent at Ktetil & Siri’s home with never a dull moment as they invited the local chapter to join us for a visit. (Thanks for your bed Torstein)

We wrapped up this wonderful time with a few days at Skaia’s home and interaction with the local chapter in Sogne and their local Aust Agder rally. Great hospitality and I had to give the GSXR back.

What makes these events special is the gathering of God’s people from the nations across Europe and Scandinavia with a mix of a few South Africans and others nations (Russia) thrown in to spice things up. These guys and ladies become like family. At first there was the language barriers – we frowned, smiled then laughed hugged through them, now there’s a brotherhood of relationships developing that will enable us the change this world one heart at a time. The British are even beginning to understand our version of English. The Swedish English is another story... but then my Swedish is limited to ‘Volvo’. Matti from CMA Finland speaks “Finnish” and we love him! We have had to make choices to get beyond our little likes and dislikes and make Jesus Lord of all.

Thought – Idol worship is when we more concerned about impressing people than obeying God. The need for acceptance overwhelms truth & the sense of purpose.

I come from a family of five children, but now I had the privilege of being part of a huge international family. Gods’ up to something.... take great care make decisions that will please the Father.

The journey of life will take us many unknown roads. These past few days I’ve had the privilege of ministering in various places to bikers. What a joy to see lives changed by the power of the risen Lord Jesus. Here is a copy of the message I shared with my biker friends this past week in the towns of Steelpoort, Limpopo province & Secunda, Mpumalanga province. It was so good to see guys & ladies surrender to Jesus.

Message

So many people want Jesus as Saviour but never surrender to Him as Lord. Saviour means He will save you from trouble. They want circumstances to change, but they don’t want to change.

God gives Christians two things - a new nature and a cross to crucify the old nature. – Francis Frangipane

The search for identity drives people to seek approval from all sorts of outside human sources. Every person seeks recognition & fears rejection. Many end up living a life of existence & survival rather than living on purpose, Gods’ purpose.

Identity is determined by the highest authority figure in your life.

We have the power of choice to choose that authority figure that will have the final say & influence over our identity & lives!

Without choosing a ‘captain of your ship’ you will float around aimlessly on the ocean of life, continually searching for direction & never really aware that’s you are even off course.

Character, like identity is a choice. Character is a combination of all your habits. Whenever we choose Gods’ way we build a brick into the wall of character.

Here are two thought patters that keep people from surrendering to God & experiencing the fullness of the Fathers’ love.

Two thought patters 2 lifestyles – Luke 15:11 - two sons - one (Prodigal) chose the life of street kid, give me what’s mine, I’m leaving – want no responsibility. The other (elder brother) stayed home but had the heart of an orphan, always felt cheated & dissatisfied. The Father’s house is full of people with orphan hearts – never experience the Father’s love just live like “hang a rounds” Elder brother is in Father’s house but he resents the fact that the prodigal ‘street kid’ came come home & find forgiveness. See Luke 15:25-28,29

To be right with God often means to be in trouble with man – A W Tozer. Not everybody will be happy when you stop depending on their opinions & start honouring God as the highest authority in your life.

1. Orphan child mentality. – Constantly seeking approval & living in fear of rejection

Rejection sends a message that you’re not good enough. You might be human, but you don’t make the grade, you’re just not it, your best is not good enough...we don’t want you here... Orphan children sit in the orphanage waiting for others to rescue them. The message to them is - you were not worth the sacrifice, we couldn’t afford to keep you.

Millions of people have that thought pattern as adults. It all starts with a thought. Somehow you believed the lie of rejection. Then life is a downward spiral of heart ache & broken relationships and insecurity. In a world of disposable relationships and uncertainty is good to know that Jesus came to destroy that cycle of rejection when ‘orphan hearts’ are surrendered to Him.

Please take responsibility for your own actions and let God change you when you acknowledge that your identity is shaped by the negative in the world. Many want to blame the devil for the heart aches & fragmented relationships; however he is capable assisted by people. I humbly apologise on behalf of the ‘Christians’ who set a bad example – the pastor who folded and ran off with some ‘hot chick’ – the guys who always gave the appearance of a saint and then stole your pension fund... please don’t let the mistakes and failure of others keep you away from God!

Today begin to trust again, believe that God has your welfare at heart. God is not a liar, a schemer or a two face – He is Holy and He loves you. You can trust Him.

Orphans do anything to be noticed and accepted – no need for that, He loves you as you are. When your heart cries out – ‘please love me’ – remember God does! Psalm 94:14 – “For LORD will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance.”

2. Street kids - Street child mentality produces a lifestyle of lawlessness.

 
‘Nobody’s gonna tell me what to do’ – I don’t trust anybody, the world has betrayed me, authority is corrupt so I trust nobody - survival of the fittest! I’ll do what i want, take what I want don’t get in way. Consequences for actions – what consequences...?

Street kid mentality is always on the run or move, no real rest for the souls. Some of the most wealthy and affluent people live like this. They’ve not just ‘limed the ladder’ of success but trodden on many on what they think is the way up. It’s all a search for identity and reality. It’s lonely ‘at the top’ because its cost so many relationships...

When all abandon you and the empty reality of life hits you, alcohol 7 chemicals can only numb pain by never remove it. The hole in your soul has a label called home for Jesus!

Psalm 27:10 - My father and mother walked out and left me, but GOD took me in. (MSG)

In this world of disposable relationships remember God can be trusted! Clay is used to make pottery but until the potter finds it it will be trodden on by people. Remember the clay had value before the potter found it that’s why He went looking for it! The Master Potter takes what looks like throw away junk that others will trample and create a master piece out of it. You are His master piece! 2Co 4:7 -But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us.

3. Child of God - You? I don’t have to live like orphans & street children any more.

The Master Potter Jesus came looking for us because he created us to be His. God has no throw away kids or disposable relationships. Jesus came to earth and experienced rejection and loss so that we could be found - John 1:10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. John 1:11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-

John 1:13 children born not of natural descent,[3] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

You never have to wonder if you are good enough. That’s why Jesus shed His blood to pay the full price to buy you back (redeem you). There is nothing you can contribute to your salvation except your sin. Humbling thought?

Rom 8:14- because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Rom 8:15-For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba Father."

Rom 8:16- The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. (NIV)

When you surrender to be adopted by the Father into His family, your enemies are in trouble. The blood of Jesus washes your past away. You no longer have a past, only a future. Ask Him today! Grace is Gods’ love extended to us; please don’t play games with God’s love & grace. Live like a redeemed child of God.

A little boy was sitting on a swing grinning from ear to ear. A man passing by asked him -“What are you so happy about my boy?” the little lad broke into an even bigger smile as he replied – “Because I’m my daddy’s boy!”

Being the Heavenly Fathers’ child is something to very happy about!

You are valued and loved by Jesus – more than you can ever imagine...
